USA South Golf Athletes of the Week - October 29, 2025

  • Men's Golfer of the Week
    Juan Amil, N.C. Wesleyan - The Madrid, Spain freshman placed first out of 110 golfers at the O'Briant-Jensen Memorial last week by shooting an even-par 71 in the rain-shortened one-round event. Also Nominated: Beau Brewer and Haden Ruby, Methodist.

  • Women's Golfer of the Week
    Yvette Gorden, Huntingdon - The Pike Rode, Alabama junior placed tied for first out of 86 golfers at the Chick-Fil-A Invitational last week by shooting a one-over par 147. In the two-round event, Gorden opened with an even-par 73 and finished with a one-over par 74. Also Nominated: Kirstyn Page, Pfeiffer; Sydney Richards, Southern Virginia.

    Women's Golf Rookie of the Week
    Berkley Wiggins, Huntingdon - The Columbus, Georgia freshman placed tied for 33rd out of 86 golfers at the Chick-Fil-A Invitational last week by shooting a 21-over par 167. In the two-round event, Wiggins opened with a 13-over par 86 and finished with an eight-over par 81. Also Nominated: Jaycie Kate Lowery, Methodist; Madi Frisby, Southern Virginia.
