The USA South Athletic Conference has announced its 2025 All-Conference awards for men's lacrosse. Individually, Pfeiffer's Ethan Miles was named Offensive Player of the Year while Southern Virginia's JT Cutrer earned Defensive Player of the Year accolades. Methodist's Jay Legg was named Rookie of the Year and Piedmont's Tim Dunton collected Coach of the Year to round out the individual awards. Additionally, the USA South recognized an All-Sportsmanship Team, consisting of one member from each competing school who their coach felt displayed the best sportsmanship this season.
All awards are voted on by the men's lacrosse coach at each institution.
Miles, a sophomore attackman from Charlotte, North Carolina becomes the third Falcon to be named USA South Men's Lacrosse Player of the Year. Following the end of the regular season, Miles led the Conference in points per game (5.71) and goals per game (3.43) while compiling a total of 80 points and 48 goals to go along with 32 assists. In League-only play, Miles led the League in points with 57 on a Conference-best 32 goals along with 25 assists. For his efforts, Miles earned First Team All-Conference accolades at attack while being named USA South Player of the Week twice this spring.
Cutrer, a senior short-stick defensive midfielder from Draper, Utah is the first Knight men's lacrosse student-athlete to be named USA South Defensive Player of the Year. Through regular season play, Cutrer led the Conference by causing 34 turnovers. He also added 42 ground balls, 11 goals and ten assists during the regular season. In USA South-only contests, Cutrer was second in the League with 18 caused turnovers. For his efforts this spring, Cultrer earned First Team All-Conference accolades as a short-stick defensive midfielder for the second consecutive season, after grabbing second team accolades in 2023. Finally, Cutrer was named USA South Defensive Player of the Week once this season.
Legg, a freshman attackman from Holly Springs, North Carolina becomes the first Monarch men's lacrosse student-athlete to be named USA South Rookie of the Year. Legg led all USA South rookies with 40 goals during the regular season while also adding 11 assists, 37 ground balls, and five caused turnovers. Against Conference foes, Legg was tied for fourth in the League with 26 goals scored. For his efforts this season, Legg earned Second Team All-Conference accolades at attack and USA South Rookie of the Week three times.
In his tenth season as head coach at Piedmont, Dunton earns his second consecutive USA South Coach of the Year accolade, the third of his career. He led the Lions to a 10-4 overall regular season record and a 7-1 mark in League play. Piedmont has now won at least ten games in each of the last four seasons.
