USA South Golf Athletes of the Week - October 8, 2025

  • Men's Golfer of the Week
    Watcharakan Chankarn, Greensboro - The Chonburi, Thailand senior placed fourth out of 108 golfers at the West Pines Collegiate last week by shooting one-under par 212. In the three-round event, Chankarn opened with a one-over par 72, then shot a two-under par 69, before finishing with an even-par 71. Also Nominated: Will Agnew, Southern Virginia.

    Men's Golf Rookie of the Week
    Jace Robison, Southern Virginia - The American Fork, Utah freshman placed tied for 51st out of 79 golfers at the Shenandoah Fall Invitational two weeks ago by shooting an 18-over par 160. In the two-round event, Robison opened with a six-over par 77 and finished with a 12-over par 83. Also Nominated: None.

  • Women's Golfer of the Week
    Sydney Richards, Southern Virginia - The Farmington, Utah junior placed tied for fourth out of 108 golfers at The Tartan Invitational last week by shooting a five-under par 139. In the two-round event, Richards opened with a six-under par 66 and finished with a one-over par 73. Also Nominated: Eva Denten, Methodist.

    Women's Golf Rookie of the Week
    Laura Lea Allen, Meredith - The Graham, North Carolina freshman placed second out of 11 golfers at the Battle of 64 tri-match featuring USA South foes Pfeiffer and William Peace. In the one-round event, Allen shot a ten-over par 82. Also Nominated: Madison Frisby, Southern Virginia.
