LaGRANGE, Ga. - Carter Brand has been named the new Head Coach of the LaGrange College Men's Lacrosse Team.
Brand joins the Panthers after serving a successful season as offensive assistant coach at Limestone University (South Carolina), where the team advanced to the 2025 NCAA Quarterfinals. In the summer of 2021, he also worked as head coach for the Denver Elite lacrosse club, a junior league organization for aspiring college players.
"I am incredibly honored and excited to be named the Head Men's Lacrosse Coach at LaGrange College," Brand said. "I'm deeply grateful for the opportunity to lead and grow this program, and I look forward to building something special both on and off the field."
As a player, Brand played three seasons at the University of Denver, before transferring to Limestone to complete his eligibility, the last two being named team captain both seasons. He also was drafted in the 2022 NLL draft by the Saskatchewan Rush.
"My vision is to develop a competitive team that reflects excellence, discipline and integrity," Brand said. "We also want to help develop our student-athletes into strong, driven young men."
New Vice President for Athletics Matt Hayes, who also joined LC after his stint with Limestone Athletics, had nothing but high praise for Brand.
"We are excited to welcome Carter to LaGrange College to lead our Lacrosse program," Hayes said. "He has an incredible background in the sport and has been mentored as a player and a coach by some of the best coaches in the country."
"He will steer the program to the college mission and will do so relentlessly. We look forward to watching Panther Lacrosse grow and flourish under his guidance."
Brand is set to start later this summer as the Panthers look to build off their 2025 campaign. He becomes the program's third head coach since its launch in 2019.
