The first round of the 2025 USA South Men's Soccer Tournament has concluded with the third through six seeds in action and each game needing extra time to decide a winner. 

The day began with third-seeded William Peace getting a goal just 58 seconds into overtime to defeat sixth-seeded Southern Virginia, 2-1. In the nightcap, fifth-seeded Methodist upset fourth-seeded Greensboro, 1-0, with a goal just over a minute into extra time.

The semifinal round is now set as Methodist will travel to top-seed Pfeiffer while William Peace will head to second-seed N.C. Wesleyan for matches on Wednesday, November 5. The winners of those contests will meet for the tournament title, hosted by the highest-remaining seed, on Saturday, November 8.
