(Misenheimer, N.C.) - The USA South Baseball three-team double-elimination tournaments have concluded its third day of play with action hosted by Pfeiffer.

On the Pfeiffer campus, the second-seeded Falcons won their bracket by defeating sixth-seeded Southern Virginia, 7-3. After the Knights struck first with two runs in the top of the fifth inning, Pfeiffer responded with four of their own in the bottom half to take the lead. Pfeiffer would tack on a few more and hold on to head into next weekend's best-of-three championship series. 

Meanwhile, in the bracket hosted by Greensboro, weather forced action to half for a day and will resume tomorrow, May 3. The top-seeded Pride and fifth-seeded William Peace will face off in a winner-take-all contest to determine who will move on to the championship series to take on Pfeiffer. First pitch is scheduled for 1:00pm.

Should Greensboro win tomorrow, the Pride, as the top-seed will host the best-of-three championship series. If William Peace defeats Greensboro, it will be Pfeiffer who will host the championship series as the highest-remaining seed following bracket play. Those three games are set to begin with a single contest on Friday, May 8th with the second game the following day, Saturday, May 9th. Should there need to be a third game, it will occur 45 minutes following the conclusion of Saturday's first contest.
