(Greensboro, N.C.) - The USA South Baseball three-team double-elimination tournaments have concluded with fifth-seeded William Peace advancing to the best-of-three championship series to join second-seeded Pfeiffer who got through yesterday by winning its bracket.

In Greensboro, William Peace continued their journey by defeating the top-seeded Pride, 5-3. The Pacers struck first with a single run in their opening at-bats, added two more in the top of the fourth inning, and one more in their half of the fifth. Greensboro fought back with three runs in the bottom of the fifth inning but that was as close as it would get. 

The best-of-three championship series, which will be hosted by Pfeiffer as the highest-remaining seed after the three-team tournaments, is scheduled to begin with a single contest on Friday, May 8th with the second game the following day, Saturday, May 9th. Should there need to be a third game, it will occur 45 minutes following the conclusion of Saturday's first contest.

Both Pfeiffer and William Peace will look to earn their respective program's first USA South Tournament championship.
