The USA South Athletic Conference will once again give institutions the opportunity to spotlight student-athletes each Wednesday as a part of the Conference's #WhyD3Wednesday initiative. In its tenth year, #WhyD3Wednesday allows student-athletes to briefly explain why they chose to attend their Division III institution as well as share some of their favorite things in life. To view this week's submission, please see below and make sure to follow the hashtag #WhyD3Wednesday on the USA South's X (@usa_south) and Instagram (@usa_south) social media platforms throughout the year as League student-athletes share their stories.
Brooklynn Covic - N.C. Wesleyan University - Junior - Volleyball
“I chose Division III and N.C. Wesleyan because I wanted the opportunity to continue playing the sport I love while still being able to focus on my academics and future career. N.C. Wesleyan gave me the chance to be involved in more than just volleyball, especially through athletics as a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), as well as opportunities related to my major. I also really value the close community here and the relationships I’ve been able to build with my teammates, coaches, and people across campus. Being at a Division III school has allowed me to grow as an athlete and as a person outside of my sport.”
