The USA South Athletic Conference's volleyball coaches have released their 2026 preseason poll. Head coaches do not vote for their own teams in the balloting.
Greensboro, last season's regular season League champions, was picked atop this year's poll thanks to receiving 79 total points and seven of the possible ten first place votes. The Pride posted a perfect 18-0 record to earn their first title since 2005. The defending USA South Tournament champions, defeating the Pride as the second-seed, Southern Virginia placed second in the poll with 75 points and the remaining three first place votes. Meredith sits third in the poll with 62 points while Salem and Methodist, respectively, round out the top-half of the rankings.
The 2026 USA South Volleyball Tournament will once again be conducted exclusively on campus sites. The top-eight seeded teams will advance to the tournament which will begin with first round action on Tuesday, November 10. The semifinals will take place Thursday, November 12 with the finals occurring on Saturday, November 14. The higher-seeded team in each contest will host that particular match. In last season's tournament final, second-seeded Southern Virginia defeated top-seeded Greensboro, 3-0.
