's "50 Years in 50 Weeks" - 1969-70

(FAYETTEVILLE, NC) - The 2013-14 season serves as the 50th for the USA South Athletic Conference. In an effort to relive 50 Years of League memories, the USA South has produced "50 Years in 50 Weeks", a weekly chronicle of some of the great moments in Conference history.

1969 - 1970

  • Lynchburg and St. Andrews become the first institutions to share a Conference Regular Season championship as they do so in Men's Tennis.

  • College of Charleston departs the Conference but not before winning their only Bowling Tournament title.

  • UNC–Charlotte also leaves the Conference but not before earning its second consecutive Men's Basketball Tournament crown.

     

 
N.C. Wesleyan captures its first of four consecutive
Men’s Golf tournament championships.
