's "50 Years in 50 Weeks" - 1971-72

(FAYETTEVILLE, NC) - The 2013-14 season serves as the 50th for the USA South Athletic Conference. In an effort to relive 50 Years of League memories, the USA South has produced "50 Years in 50 Weeks", a weekly chronicle of some of the great moments in Conference history.

1971 - 1972

  • Lynchburg captures its first of five consecutive Men’s Soccer crowns.

  • N.C. Wesleyan men's golf is on its way to four straight titles as it captures its third consecutive Conference crown.

  • Lynchburg wins its first of two consecutive regular season and tournament bowling championships.

 
Methodist baseball, led by Coach of the Year Bruce Shelley,
earns the program's first Conference Regular Season title.
