(FAYETTEVILLE, NC) - The 2013-14 season serves as the 50th
for the USA South Athletic Conference. In an effort to relive 50
Years of League memories, the USA South has produced "50 Years in
50 Weeks", a weekly chronicle of some of the great moments in
Conference history.
Each week, a year of moments will be released on the USA South's

1985 -
1986
- Christopher Newport wins the final Conference Track and
Field championship.
- Methodist captures the first of eight consecutive Women’s
Soccer Regular Season titles.
- St. Andrews earns its first-ever Conference Volleyball
Tournament title.
- Christopher Newport Volleyball sets a League record for solo
blocks in a season with 321.
- UNC–Greensboro’s Jen Emery sets the record for solo
blocks in a Conference Volleyball Tournament match with 14 versus
Christopher Newport.
- Greensboro’s Wendy Shope sets the record for assisted
blocks in a Conference Volleyball Tournament match with 11 versus
Methodist.
- Virginia Wesleyan earns its first-ever Conference Softball
Regular Season and Tournament crowns.
- Methodist’s Lisa Wymer sets single-season Conference
records for softball innings pitched, with 307, and wins, with
34.
- Methodist baseball sets single-season League records for stolen
bases, with 334, and wins, with 43.
- Christopher Newport baseball establishes the Conference record
for complete games pitched with 25.
- Christopher Newport’s Sandy Miller steals a single-game
Conference softball record five bases.
- UNC–Greensboro captures the first of three consecutive
NCAA Division III Men’s Soccer National Championships.
