(FAYETTEVILLE, NC) - The 2013-14 season serves as the 50th for the USA South Athletic Conference. In an effort to relive 50 Years of League memories, the USA South has produced "50 Years in 50 Weeks", a weekly chronicle of some of the great moments in Conference history.

1989 - 1990

• Greensboro women’s basketball captures a share of its first-ever Conference Regular Season championship.
• Methodist women’s soccer’s Andrea Ellison sets single-season Conference record with 15 shutouts.
• Methodist and Greensboro men’s soccer share their first-ever Conference Regular Season title.
• Greensboro’s Chris Gillis sets single-season Conference men’s soccer record with 16 shutouts.
• Greensboro men’s soccer sets single-season Conference record with 16 shutouts.
• Greensboro volleyball wins its first-ever Conference Tournament championship.
• Averett volleyball sets single-season Conference record by averaging 5.5 service aces per set.
• Averett volleyball’s Angie Martin sets Conference records by averaging 1.36 service aces per set for the season and 1.12 service aces per set for her career.
• Ferrum earns a share of its first baseball Conference Regular Season title.
• Ferrum men’s basketball sets Conference single-season record by scoring 2,635 points.
• Averett men’s basketball captures its first-ever Conference regular season and tournament championships.
• Christopher Newport volleyball’s Beth Spurell sets single-match Conference record with 11 solo blocks versus N.C. Wesleyan.
• Greensboro men’s soccer reaches the NCAA Division III National Championship game.

Methodist men’s golf captures the program’s first-ever NCAA Division III National Championship.	Methodist's Rob Pilewski earns the NCAA Division III Men's Golf Individual National Title.
Christopher Newport softball captures its first-ever Conference Regular Season crown.	Averett men’s basketball‘s Tony Seay sets single-season Conference record with a .679 field goal shooting percentage and career-record with a .640 field goal shooting percentage.
