(FAYETTEVILLE, NC) - The 2013-14 season serves as the 50th for the USA South Athletic Conference. In an effort to relive 50 Years of League memories, the USA South has produced "50 Years in 50 Weeks", a weekly chronicle of some of the great moments in Conference history.

1990 - 1991

• Greensboro women’s basketball wins its first-ever Conference Tournament Championship.
• Methodist women’s soccer sets Conference records with 18 victories and 16 shutouts.
• Methodist baseball’s Brandon Bridgers and Kevin Jones each set the Conference record for runs scored in a game with six.
• Christopher Newport’s Mary Carpenter sets single-season Conference softball record with four no-hitters.
• Ferrum softball’s Becky Piloto sets single-season Conference record with a .537 batting average.
• Methodist men’s tennis captures its first-ever Conference Tournament title.
• Methodist baseball scores 43 runs versus Maryville to set Conference record for most runs scored in a game.
• Future Conference Hall of Famer, Christopher Newport’s Lamont Strothers, finishes his men’s basketball career with a Conference-record 2,709 points scored, 1,016 field goals made and 286 steals.
• Christopher Newport women’s basketball sets Conference record for steals in a season with 547.
• Christopher Newport baseball’s Tab Pabst sets Conference single-game record with four doubles versus Franklin Pearce.

Future Conference Hall of Famer, Methodist’s Anne Thorpe, sets career women’s soccer Conference records for assists (42) and points (204).	Methodist men’s golf captures the program’s second NCAA Division III National Championship.	Future Conference Hall of Famer, Christopher Newport’s Karen Barefoot, sets Conference single–game women’s basketball records for steals (14) and assists (18).
Ferrum men’s basketball’s Mark Cottom sets Conference record for assists in a game with 21 versus Concord.	Greensboro volleyball’s Shannon Virtue sets Conference Tournament single-match record with ten service aces.	Ferrum baseball’s Scott Clawson sets single-season Conference record for saves with 11.
