(FAYETTEVILLE, NC) - The 2013-14 season serves as the 50th for the USA South Athletic Conference. In an effort to relive 50 Years of League memories, the USA South has produced "50 Years in 50 Weeks", a weekly chronicle of some of the great moments in Conference history.

1997 - 1998

• N.C. Wesleyan’s Kim Olsen sets Conference women’s soccer career record with a 0.46 goals against average.
• Christopher Newport men’s basketball sets Conference record for fewest losses in a season with two and most consecutive wins with 26.
• Shenandoah women’s soccer earns a share of its first and only Conference regular season title.
• Averett volleyball sets Conference single–season record with 2,029 kills.
• Greensboro baseball captures its first and only Conference tournament title.
• Christopher Newport’s Jill Owens ends her softball career with a Conference record 68 pitching wins and a 1.63 ERA.

Averett women’s cross country captures the program’s first Conference championship.	Future Conference Hall of Famer, Methodist's Chad Collins, wins the first of his three career NCAA Division III Men's Golf Individual National Titles.
Christopher Newport wins first of four consecutive Conference men’s basketball regular season and tournament titles.	Future Conference Hall of Famer, Ferrum baseball’s Pat Daly, sets Conference record for home runs in a single–season with 24.
Future Conference Hall of Famer, Averett volleyball’s Bren LaFlamme, sets Conference records for kills in a match, kills in a season, kills in a career, kills per set in a season, attack percentage in a season, block assists in a season and sets played in a season and kills in a tournament match.	Methodist men’s golf captures the program’s eighth NCAA Division III National Championship.
