's "50 Years in 50 Weeks" - 2009-2010

(FAYETTEVILLE, NC) - The 2013-14 season serves as the 50th for the USA South Athletic Conference. In an effort to relive 50 Years of League memories, the USA South has produced "50 Years in 50 Weeks", a weekly chronicle of some of the great moments in Conference history.

2009 - 2010

  • Christopher Newport women’s basketball loses just one game during the season which sets the Conference record.

  • Meredith women’s soccer captures its first Conference Regular Season title.

  • Christopher Newport’s Chelsie Schweers sets the record for points scored during a Conference Women’s Basketball Tournament with 93.

 


Agnes Scott College joins the Conference as an affiliate member
in the sport of women’s lacrosse.

 

 
LaGrange College joins the Conference as an affiliate member
in the sport of women’s lacrosse.

 


Methodist men’s golf captures the program’s tenth
NCAA Division III National Championship.

 


Greensboro softball wins its first Conference Tournament crown.

 


Christopher Newport softball’s Mary Kennedy sets Conference
career records of 576 at–bats, 161 runs scored, 220 hits and 103 stolen bases.

 


Shenandoah wins its first 
Conference Tournament baseball championship.
