's "50 Years in 50 Weeks" - 2011-2012

(FAYETTEVILLE, NC) - The 2013-14 season serves as the 50th for the USA South Athletic Conference. In an effort to relive 50 Years of League memories, the USA South has produced "50 Years in 50 Weeks", a weekly chronicle of some of the great moments in Conference history.

2011 - 2012

  • Shenandoah departs the Conference at the conclusion of the academic year.
  • Shenandoah women’s soccer captures its first and what would turn out to be its only Conference Tournament championship prior to departing the League.
  • Christopher Newport women’s lacrosse wins a Conference-record 15 games.
  • Christopher Newport softball’s Kelly Foate scores a Conference single–season record 61 runs.
  • Shenandoah softball’s Brooke Over ends her career with a Conference-record 665 strikeouts.

Christopher Newport volleyball reaches the
NCAA Division III National Championship match.

Shenandoah football’s Rico Wallace catches a single–game
Conference record five touchdown passes.
