(FAYETTEVILLE, NC) - The 2013-14 season serves as the 50th
for the USA South Athletic Conference. In an effort to relive 50
Years of League memories, the USA South has produced "50 Years in
50 Weeks", a weekly chronicle of some of the great moments in
Conference history.
Each week, a year of moments will be released on the USA South's

2013 -
2014
- Christopher Newport becomes an affiliate member of the
Conference in the sport of football.
- Several institutions earn Conference championships for the
first time: Covenant (Baseball, Men's Cross Country), LaGrange
(Golf, Men's Basketball-Tournament), Maryville (Men's
Basketball-Regular Season, Volleyball-Regular Season &
Tournament, Women's Soccer-Regular Season), Meredith (Women's Cross
Country, Lacrosse-Tournament), Piedmont (Lacrosse-Regular Season,
Softball-Tournament, Women's Soccer-Tournament).
- Ferrum Women's Basketball sets a new Conference single-season
record with 559 assists.
- Greensboro football's Ryan Throndset sets Conference
single-game records with 70 pass attempts, 47 pass completions and
six passing touchdowns versus Methodist.
- Huntingdon football sets a Conference single-game record with
774 total yards versus Ferrum.
- Methodist football breaks the Conference record for most points
scored in a game with 69 versus N.C. Wesleyan.
- Maryville's Travis Felder sets a Conference single-season
football record with 23 total touchdowns.
- Methodist men's soccer's Nahom Hargwoin scores four goals
versus Piedmont to set a new single-game Conference tournament
record.

Conference Tournament records for free throws

to earn Conference Women's Cross Country
Coach of the Year honors.

Methodist football's Max Reber leads all of
NCAA Division III in total offense averaging
364.2 yards per game and is named USA South
Offensive Player of the Year.

Conference Tournament record with 65 total kills. |
Covenant baseball's Will Cleland sets a Conference
single-game record with three triples versus Piedmont. |
Meredith's Katie Burnet sets new Conference
lacrosse single-season records for goals scored (86)
and points (123) en route to earning Player of
